CYWP - Cornwall Youth Work Partnership

To all those interested in developing the relationship between the Children’s Trust and the Voluntary and Community Sector in Cornwall.

IVO would like to invite you to a facilitated workshop scheduled for the 11^th December from 10am until 3pm to go through a Self Evaluation Toolkit designed by VCS Engage and Children England (a copy of which is available below).

This event is hosted by IVO (Cornwall’s VCS CYP Workforce Development Network) and will have significant influence on the Children’s Trust and on Workforce Development for VCS involved in CYP.

The event will take place at Ocean Housing’s Theatre Room in St Austell, but please note that there is a small car park at the venue which can be used however space is limited. There is also a family services car park behind the venue which can be used, failing that parking around the venue on the road is permitted.

If you haven’t found the answers you need and you want to raise your queries on workforce development then call Children England Free on their Workforce Development Advice Helpline.  The number is 0808 168 3820 or email them at  develop@childrenengland.org.uk. 

This service is more than an advice line. For many, it’s a dedicated service that provides practical help and support in Workforce Development Issues in England.  Children England aim to simplify the complexity and range of demands in workforce development. 

If they are unable to provide as quick or as thorough a response to your query as you are hoping, then they will do their best to either find the answer for you or point you in the right direction. Children England is committed to helping the children’s voluntary sector in England better understand the requirements and regulations now in place and to play a role in influencing key decision makers on any future proposals and changes.

The Independent Safeguarding Authority has created a series of downloadable posters, inserts and email templates, to help explain the new vetting and barring scheme, which comes into force next year.  These resources are free to download from http://www.isa-gov.org/toolkit/
