The Great PowerPoint Adventure

We listened when some of you said you’d like to find out more about each other, so this meeting is about that – so, please can you send a PowerPoint slide or 1 page ‘bit’ about what you’d like to share with others – you can be creative, factual, though provoking as you’d like.  But whatever you send will be placed on one slide of a PowerPoint and you will have a minute to share, introduce or tell us something about your organisation. If you don’t want to stand up in front of everyone - your PowerPoint slide can say it all or to help…

Tell us more

We’d also would love it if you brought a small display with you to share some more of you work or put some more detail into with the other partners, you will be able to set these up from 9.30am

And introducing…

We also have a special guest join us from lunchtime onwards – Jack Cordrey, Head of Childrens Services at Cornwall Council – Jack said he’s delighted to be our special guest.  If you have any questions you’d like to ask jack – or if you’d like him to talk about anything in particular please let us know before hand.

Here’s the programme…

10.15-10.30 – Gather over a cuppa

10.30 – 11.15 – Welcome & partnership news

11.15 – 12.30 – the Great PowerPoint Adventure

All partners – tell us about your project – on one slide only!

12.30 – 1.45 Lunch and network

1.45 – 2.45 – Your partnership – what you want and need from us

 2.45 – 3.15 Introducing…Special guest…Jack Cordrey

 3.15 – 3.30 round up & safe journey

Please let us know if you are intending to join us on the 15th so we have an idea about numbers for catering. Also if you have any dietary considerations & feel free to bring some of your team along too.

Any questions contact Sam Pashley and send your PowerPoint slide to sam.pashley@platform51.org

We look forward to seeing you in two weeks time!

Munro Review of Child Protection

The Final Report of the Munro Review of Child Protection, A child-centred system was published on Tuesday, 10th May 2011. Professor Munro’s analysis finds that local areas should have more freedom to design their own child protection services and that ‘one-size-fits-all approach’ to child protection is preventing local areas from focusing on the needs of the child.
