‘Everything you always wanted to know about Commissioning but were afraid to ask’ event

Everything you always wanted to know about Commissioning but…..were afraid to ask.

Cornwall Voluntary Sector Forum and Cornwall Youth Work Partnership are offering you the opportunity to acquire the skills which are essential for smaller organisations wishing to be commissioned to deliver public services within Cornwall.

‘Everything you also wanted to know about Commissioning, but were afraid to ask’ will take place on Friday 11th May, at Truro Community Library from 9:30am – 3:30pm.

This training event will give you the tools to understand the basics of the commissioning process, and prepare your organisation for tendering, offering some key tips on how to avoid common tendering pitfalls, and advice on how to write effective tenders.

Penni Barker, 13-19 Commissioning Manager for  Cornwall Council’s Children, Schools and Families Directorate, will attend for part of the day to answer questions and queries.

We welcome anyone who is part of an organisation or community group thinking about tendering, individuals who support other groups, and those who are currently responsible for making tenders but who feel their skills may be a little rusty.

Places are limited so please book early (booking deadline Monday 30th April 2012). Places are FREE to member organisations of Cornwall VSF or Cornwall Youth Work Partnership.  Otherwise, there is a £15 charge per place to cover administration and catering costs.
