Membership
CYWP’s aim is to ensure that Voluntary and Community Youth Work and Education remains at the top of local, regional and national political agendas, and to be the voice of the sector where the sector needs to be heard.
It is the vision of CYWP that the differing types of membership will ultimately represent the full range of Voluntary Youth Organisations in Cornwall.
Affiliated membership
Affiliated members can expect to be kept updated with the most recent:
- Training opportunities
- Tenders
- Other funding opportunities
- Events and conferences
And they will have access to the CYWP meetings where they will be able to take part in networking opportunities, training or presentations that are given and partnership ideas arising from the meeting.
They will be given support with any issues that arise for them, through direct contact with the coordinator who will try to suggest ideas of best practice or signpost them to the most appropriate organisation who might be best suited to offer assistance.
They will have opportunities to take part in support groups, meetings or networks when common issues arise.

Full membership
Full members will benefit from all of the above, but will also be able to influence decisions taken by the Directors, be able to be nominated to sit on the board of Trustees/Directors and to vote at partnership meetings.
The benefit to all members is the peace of mind that comes with being part of a larger organisation whose aim it is to represent Voluntary Youth Organisations at a strategic level, an organisation at the forefront of influencing policy and decision makers in the ever-changing arena of Youth Work.
